Named nothing like the rest. Built nothing like them either.

Evaluate Vektor

Why should Vektor exist?

Short answer

Boutique wealth managers are managing institutional-scale complexity with non-institutional tools. This is not a technology gap. It is an access gap. Vektor exists to close it.

Vektor gives boutique DPMs the systematic portfolio management infrastructure institutional managers use without institutional costs, headcount, or integration complexity.

It was built by practitioners who spent decades in the rooms where these tools get used and where implementations fail.

Sophisticated doesn’t have to mean complicated. Vektor does the work. You still own the outcome.

It is built and running. It has not yet executed in a live account.

What we can show

  • The disciplines institutional firms take for granted. Built for the next mandate, not just the first one. Each configured mandate has its own strategy, benchmark, currency and portfolio records.
  • Vektor handles pattern recognition, optimisation, and the audit trail. Your judgment on mandates, clients, and market context remains with you.
  • Every allocation, signal selection and portfolio configuration is recorded with the indicator, parameters and backtest result that justified it.
  • Eight alternatives are assessed fairly: Bloomberg PORT, FactSet, SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, Excel and manual process, robo-advisory platforms and building in-house. Each gets what it does well, its limitation and the Vektor answer.
  • Before showing anyone the platform, we published thirteen Unvarnished papers under our own name about why platforms like it fail.
  • Vektor is for boutique discretionary managers, independent asset managers and family office principals managing listed equity mandates. We work with clients who are technically ready, commercially clear on their mandate, and aligned with honest, evidence-based portfolio construction.

What this means

The case for Vektor rests on a diagnosis, not a feature list. The opening Unvarnished paper names five recurring failure modes: nobody owns it; the plan came before the workflow was understood; integration was an afterthought; go-live was declared before confidence was earned; the vendor relationship prevented honest conversation.

It presents well. Does it ******* work?

The Unvarnished view

“The same implementation failures repeat across the industry, unrecorded, because no party benefits from writing them down. This paper names the pattern openly, once, rather than let it repeat quietly again.”

UNV-01: Why Implementations Fail

What remains unproven

  • Vektor has not yet executed in a live account, and has no live track record.
  • Naming the failure modes does not prove Vektor avoids them. That is tested on your mandate, not asserted here.
  • The assessment of each alternative is the authors’ own, drawn from their professional experience of those tools.
  • Fixed income and alternatives mandates are untested. Enquire anyway and we will say where we stand.
